We know how important the decision to have proper breast reconstruction is for every woman with cancer. That is why our office works hard to achieve the most insurance coverage possible for every one of our patients. We have experience dealing with all major insurance carriers and complete coverage is often possible.
The largest costs of breast reconstruction are typically the hospital fees. Our hospitals are contracted and in-network for all major insurance carriers.
By law, insurance companies are required to cover the costs of breast reconstruction at any time after mastectomy. This includes any surgery required for symmetry of the opposite breast as well. See the links below for the applicable Federal and State laws.
